About Karen
Karen is a graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing in Flint, Michigan. She was licensed as a registered nurse in Michigan, Ohio, and New York, where she practiced nursing for over 30 years. Karen held various clinical and administrative positions, including clinical nurse manager, director of nursing, and department manager for the private duty home care division of a large metropolitan hospital. Her duties as department manager included full responsibility for the department’s compliance with state and federal laws and profit-and-loss responsibilities.
Karen was elected to her condominium association board of directors and served two terms as board secretary. She undertook responsibility for updating the condominium’s rules, regulations, and documents to ensure compliance with Florida condominium law.
Karen has served as a volunteer at the Child Protection Center and was honored as Volunteer of the Year in 2020. She has been a member of Impact100 SRQ since 2020, serving on the Focus Area Committee. Karen has actively volunteered at fundraising events for the Dynasty Stars program since 2022.
