About Judy
Judy moved to Florida in 1978 from Massachusetts after graduating with a management degree from Becker College. Judy was an owner and manager of hotels in both the Sarasota and Fort Lauderdale areas. In 1987, she moved to Port Charlotte, where she was involved with a waterfront condominium development complex on the Myakka River in El Jobean.
Judy served as president of the Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, and North Port Multiple Listing Service for two years and president of the Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, and North Port Association of Realtors for one year. She was the broker-owner of an independent real estate office in Charlotte County for over 20 years. After moving back to Sarasota in 2006, Judy served on her homeowners association board, presiding as president for the last 12 years.
Her volunteer activities include involvement with the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition, Operation Kindness, Catholic Charities Gala, Tidewell Annual Luncheon Committee, Impact100, Women in Philanthropy, Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota, DeSoto Counties Foundation Board, and fundraising events for Dynasty Stars before the formation of the foundation. Judy is also very involved with her church.
